gLOGGED Children's Privacy Notice

Effective Date: May 1, 2026 Version: 1.0 Last Updated: May 1, 2026

Plain-language summary for parents (not part of the legal notice): gLOGGED is a game-journaling website. Children under 13 are not allowed to create an account. We require a date of birth at signup, and anyone under 13 is rejected immediately and their information is not stored. If your child is 13–17, they may use gLOGGED with additional protections — their profile is private by default, they can't see games rated M or AO, external links are removed from their content, and their interactions receive extra moderator attention. You can contact us any time at privacy@glogged.com to review or delete your child's information.

This Notice supplements the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service and governs how Inflaite LLC ("gLOGGED", "we") handles information relating to minors on the Service.

1. Children Under 13 Are Not Permitted

1.1 No Under-13 Accounts

gLOGGED is not directed to children under 13 within the meaning of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998, 15 U.S.C. §§ 6501–6506, and its implementing regulation, 16 C.F.R. Part 312 ("COPPA"). We do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal information from a child under 13.

1.2 Age Gate

During account creation, we require an accurate date of birth. If the date of birth indicates the user is under 13, the server rejects the registration, returns an age-appropriate error message, and does not persist any personal information. No account is created, no email is verified, and no data is retained for the attempted signup beyond transient request logs used for abuse prevention.

We do not allow users to bypass the age gate by supplying a false date of birth. Falsifying age to create an account is a violation of our Terms of Service and will result in account termination.

1.3 If You Believe a Child Under 13 Has Submitted Information

If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe a child under 13 has created an account on gLOGGED or has otherwise submitted personal information to us (for example, through a waitlist signup or a report tool using a parent's or sibling's device), contact us immediately at privacy@glogged.com with the subject "COPPA Inquiry" and include:

  • The child's username, email, or any other identifier you believe was used
  • Your relationship to the child
  • A brief description of how you know

We will investigate promptly, and if we confirm we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete the information and terminate any associated account without charge. No special form is required.

2. Users Aged 13–17

We permit users aged 13 through 17 on the Service subject to the protections and restrictions described below. These protections are automatic, apply in addition to the practices in the Privacy Policy, and cannot be overridden by the minor. The account's date of birth determines when these protections apply; a daily job recalculates the minor-status flag, and protections automatically lift the day the user turns 18.

2.1 Information We Collect from Minors 13–17

We collect the same categories described in the Privacy Policy, Section 3, from 13–17 users. We do not collect additional information specifically because a user is a minor. We retain date of birth to enforce the protections in this Notice and to support COPPA auditability (only year of birth is retained after account anonymization).

2.2 Minor-Account Protections

The following are applied automatically and cannot be turned off by the minor user:

Protection Behavior
Default profile privacy Minor profiles are set to private by default. A minor may opt to make the profile public, but even public minor profiles are excluded from search and discovery surfaces (suggested follows, taste matching, trending).
Mature content filter Games rated M (17+) and AO (18+) by ESRB — or the equivalent by PEGI — are hidden in search, feeds, browse, and tag pages for minor accounts. Reviews, journal entries, and comments for those games are also hidden. The filter cannot be turned off for minors.
External-link restriction Minors cannot create or display game-level "external links" on their profile. Entry-level links within journal entries are also restricted. This reduces contact surface for bad actors.
Contact-info filtering Content visible to or associated with minors has phone numbers, postal addresses, and off-platform social handles automatically detected and redacted by our keyword-filter system.
Priority moderation Reports involving minor accounts are flagged for priority review and are subject to enhanced AI screening.
Advertising We do not display advertising targeted to minors. We do not currently run advertising at all, and if we do, we will not permit targeted advertising to minor accounts.
Marketing We will not send marketing emails that are inappropriate for minor audiences and will obtain any required consents for marketing communications.

2.3 Parental Consent for Users 13–17

In the United States, COPPA does not require verifiable parental consent for users 13 and older. Some other jurisdictions (for example, certain EU member states under GDPR Art. 8, which sets the digital-consent age between 13 and 16 depending on the country) may require parental authorization for users under the local consent threshold. The Service is not directed to or marketed in those jurisdictions (see Privacy Policy §6) and we do not maintain a formal verifiable-parental-consent process for non-US minors; if local law where you reside requires such a process and you cannot obtain consent, you should not use the Service. We require all 13+ users to affirm at signup that their parent or legal guardian has consented to their use of the Service and has reviewed the Terms. If you are a parent or guardian and did not consent to your child's use of the Service, contact us at privacy@glogged.com and we will act promptly.

2.4 Parental Rights

Parents and legal guardians of a 13–17 user may, after reasonable identity verification, request:

  • A description of the information we have collected about the minor;
  • A copy of that information (export);
  • Correction of inaccurate information;
  • Deletion of the information and termination of the account;
  • That we stop further collection or use of information from the minor (note: this will generally require account termination).

Send requests to privacy@glogged.com with the subject "Parental Rights Request". We will verify identity and the parental relationship (for example, by corresponding with the email on the account and by requesting basic verifying information) before acting. There is no charge for these requests.

2.5 California Minors — "Eraser" Right

Under California Business & Professions Code § 22581, California residents under 18 may request the removal of content or information they posted on the Service. To request removal, email privacy@glogged.com with subject "California Minor Erasure Request" from the account's registered email. We will remove the content from public view; complete deletion from backup and de-indexing by search engines may require additional time.

2.6 Age-Out

When a minor turns 18, a nightly background job automatically updates the account's minor-status flag. The age-appropriate default content filter is maintained unless the (now adult) user changes it in Settings, but protections specific to minors (profile-privacy default, external-link restriction) no longer apply.

3. Operators and Service Providers

Information collected from 13–17 users is processed by the same service providers listed in the Privacy Policy, Section 5.2. We do not use this information for profiling minors for advertising. We do not sell or share minor information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. Changes

We will post material changes to this Notice at least 30 days before they take effect and, for changes that affect a minor's account, notify the account holder by email. Non-material changes take effect on posting.
